How our courses can help
Our courses support individuals to recognise the relationship between their thoughts, feelings and behaviours, in order to make practical changes.
Courses are run by qualified therapists who will guide you through the session materials. Using
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques, individuals can learn coping skills to manage their symptoms and are able to get encouragement from others.
I went from being sceptical about the group sessions to looking forward to them, Jo, and seeing other clients – it was nice to know I wasn’t the only person going through it, we had different issues but similar mindsets.
Benefits of courses
- Access Support Sooner
Courses provide a fast way to access treatment sooner and avoid lengthy waiting list. - More contact with therapist
You will cover more content and have more contact with a therapist than in one-to-one sessions. You will be taught the same techniques as you would be taught in individual treatment and have more opportunity to cover additional techniques. - Better outcomes
Evidence shows that courses are often more effective as more individuals recover from courses than one-to-one treatment. - Increased access
Our courses run at a variety of times throughout the day and evenings, making them easily accessible. - Support from others
Many people find the environment very comfortable and feel that it helps normalise their experiences and feel less alone. Whilst individuals will all have unique difficulties, people report that they benefit from the nature of courses as they are able to normalise their symptoms. - Learn new ideas
Hearing from others in the group can offer new insights, strategies, and ways of coping that you may not have thought of before, which could help you find better ways to manage your feelings and challenges.
